Ashers page and some good news.
This is Asher's page for the cyber crop challenge over at Zig on the weekend. I forgot to add it in the other day. She had fun doing it and had glue all over one of my craft mats. Now just to get her an album for all her creations or I could just start another pizza box just for her pages. (LOL)
My good news. Still waiting for that elusive email about getting some of my pages published but I found out today that my door hanger I did for one of the challenges for the cyber crop over at Zig won. I was so happy. I just love how it turned out.
I also have been asked for some help by one of my AU friends over at SB.com in making up a sugar cube like the one I did for Arty Pants. I said to her that I would do up an instruction sheet for her and also asked Jodie at AP if she would like me to send over the cube for display in the shop. She said that they would love to put it up in the shop.
The voting has started over at Em in the idol contest and although I may get elimiated this round I'm already thinking on what to do for the 2nd round and will probably still do the challenges even if not going through.
Thats it from me for now. Till next time, happy scrapping.

Arty Pants projects and new stuff

I finally got around to putting the finishing touched to my AP design team projects. We were given a couple of peices of Urban lily paper a sugar cube and some stickers. I used the papers on the cube ,a card and have got plans to do a layout with some of the photos on the cube from Asher's A photo shoot. I tired to upload more photo's of the cube as I decorated the inside as well but blogger isn't letting me at the moment.
This is the card I made. For a friend of mine who lost someone close to her recently.
This is the layout I did with the stickers. I was lucky enough to have some papers that matched the stickers in a bundle of stuff I got from Em last week. I also di the layout for a BOM challenge page over at Zig.

The layout I did around my dreams, some that have come true and others that are still dreams.
This is my alterd door hanger. The third challenge from the cc on Friday night. I posted it in the Em gallery a little while ago so now can share it here. I had fun doing this and love how it turned out.

The real us is my page for the real challenge over at dd's. I had this page sort of planned out in my head and just needed the right photo for it. As you can tell dh wasn't all that happy with having his photo taken. The journaling is a little hard to read but it is about how I feel about our mariage. I know it's not perfect and that we have or moments but we love and that is what counts.

Well thats about it from me for now. I've got a scrap mess to clean up before heading of to bed so It's bye for now. Till next time happy scrapping.

Cyber crop fun
I joined in on my first cyber crop on Friday over at Zig zag and had lots of fun. I've come to the conclusion that I am fast becoming a cyber cropping, blog loving scrapaholic.LOL
The first chal was to do a page with 1 big black and whie photo and 3 smaller ones,3 dif ribbons, stiching, flowers, paint or ink and raw chipboard. I did paint part of the card stock but hated it and ended up covering it up with flowers.

The second challenge was to do a skecth of a card or layout an I decided to do the card one as I've got a friend who is having a b'day soon.
The third challenge, which is not posted here as I did it with a secret chal item from over at Em and if I post it here it won't be a secret from my Em friends who pop in will it. Shh Kelley and any other Em girls at Zig.
The fourth chal was to do a layout using chipboard, 1 button, flowers, sparkles, 2 patterend papers and hidden journaling.

The last challenge was to do a page using black card stock, something blue, flowers and hearts. I did this page on dh and his love of his guitar. I also did it for a lyric chal at Em. I got dh to choose his fav Aus artist and was going to do the layout around that song but I didn't think too much of the words so I ended up doing it around his love of the guitar and just tucked the words to his fav song behind the photo.
There was also a kiddies chall and Asher did a page as well. I've forgotten to add that here so will do so on my next blog.
We had a lovely day out at kings park this afternoon after I had my date with the weeds in the front garden and Craig had his with his car(washing it that is). Asher seen some other children rolling down a bank and joined in on the fun. Haven't had a good look at the pics yet but seeing as she was rolling into the shade I don't think it will be a great one.
Well I've got some finishing touches to put on my dt suff for Ap and to do my page for the designer diaries real challenge so I had better get my but of this chair and do something. Till next time happy scrapping.

Pirate dress up day
I know I posted pics yesterday but I just had to share these cute ones I took today. It was a pirate dress up day at school today and Asher made the sweetest pirate, complete with her little bird tucked under her arm. I tried to tie it onto her shoulder but it wouldn't stay there so she decided to carry it instead.
When we got into the room she showed me her pirate poppet on the big pirate ship on the wall and I just had to take a pic of her and her poppet. She had a fun day and it is all I've heard about all afternoon.
Onto other stuff. I finished my sugar cube for Arty Pants. I emailed the pics over to Jodie and I want to wait till she has seen them before posting them here. I've still got a few things I'm planning on doing with the left over papers after I've done some blogging. It was fun to do and after a few muff ups it came out really cute.
Till next time. Happy scrapping.

Sharing some new photos.

I loved the photo's and Pages my friend and fellow dter, Anthea(thinking of you Missy) at Steph's did with her boys and their letter that I wanted to do the same with an A for Asher. I got some new Urban Lily papers and a sugar cube from Arty Pants yesterday so I was thinking of using some of these photos I took yesterday afternoon on the cube. I took her down to the park near Mum's after school yesterday and we both had a ball taking the photos. So much so that when I suggested we go down to the edge of the pond to take some down there some ducks came up to her and she was so excited about the ducks coming up to her she started jumping up and down so much that she nearly fell in.

On Sunday we all went out for a drive and ended up in Fremantle near the North Mole. I couldn't resist taking this photo of Asher and Craig walking along the mole.
I tried to get some photos of Craig and myself to use on my Real challenge over at designer diaries but they didn't turn out right so will have to take some more over the weekend.
Asher had her Pre Primary sports carnival last week and had a ball. I managed to take these photos of my little athlete. When doing the egg and spoon race she was more interested in looking over at Craig and her grandparents to see if they were watching her that her egg (golfball) was on the ground more than it was on the spoon. We've come to the conclusion that our little girl isn't going to be a sports lover but she had fun and that is the main thing.
Sitting here watching the Steve Irwin memorial on TV while I'm typing here. Even Asher wants to get ready for school quickly so she can watch it. He deffinatly had a great personality and will be missed.
That's about all from me for now.
Till next time .Happy scrapping.

4 Urban lily papers, stickers and sugar cube. My first Arty pants Dt pack pack as well as some yummy 3 bugs paper, stickers and die cut letters and tags. Thanks Jodie.
Boy am I going to have fun.
I wonder what tomorrow mail will bring. Bills most probably.
Till next time happy scrapping.

More pages.

Finally blogger isn't being funny and I can add the other pages I was going to add last night.
Dress up girl is my Poppet page that I did for an Arty Pants dt themed challenge. I've never done a poppet before and had fun doing it but Asher was a little upset that I attacked one of her paper dolls to make it. The jornaling talks about how as a little girl my sisters and I loved playing with our dress up dolls at Nan's place and how Asher loves playing with hers now. Thanks to Anthea over at Em. I liked the way she did her title on one of her layouts she did as a photo swap for Ali at Em that I wanted to try it out too. Boy my sewing machine is getting a work out now that it has been serviced.
This is my other comp page for Zig Zag. It was a sketch that we had to follow but I also incorported and inspired by challenge into my page as well. I was inspired by Chrams chipboard flower that he did on one her pages amd the colour of Asher's dress in the photo.
The journaing talks about how Asher's lastest Mcdonalds toy Lucy just had to be in the photo shoot when I wanted to take some photos to use on a pressent for Craig.
Anyway got to go as Asher needs to get sorted out for school.
Till next time.

New page and yummy mail
I managed to get some scrapping done over the weekend but at the moment blogger isn't letting me load up any more pics.
I did this page for a challenge over at Zig Zag. Yes I've bitten the bullet and added another site to my list of places to visit. Crazy aren't I.
The photos on the layout are of Asher and the paper flower that we made together at a Mother's day morning tea this year at school. I had tried to draw some of my own flowers on the page under the photos but they looked shocking so I had to cover them up. If blogger will allow I will share two more pages tomorrow.
I had some nice mail today and I hope to have some more durring the week. I won a RAK over at Designer Diaries for my Bailey page a few weeks back and it came in the mail today.
Thanks Charley and the rest of the girls. I can't wait to use my goodies.
I should be getting a pack from Arty Pants this week as well as some swap items and a sketch challenge prize pack from Em. I love getting yummy mail.
That's about all from me tonight. Till next time happy scrapping.

Dt layout and card

This is the layout I did with the scrap pack from Steph's scrapbooking. I took it down to her today and she loved the flowers. Thanks J1 and Ali from Embellished for inspiring me to have a play with my papers and make my own flowers. They took a little fidling to get them to look right but I love them and will be making more of them.

Close up of the flower detail on the layout.

My thanks card I did with the pack as well.

I did my first poppit layout today as a themed challenge for the dters set by Jodie from Arty Pants. I had fun doing it. Much to Asher digust I raided her ever growing stash of paper dolls to make the poppet and stuck a cut out of her head onto it, then dressed it up. Asher was soon consoled over the fact she'd lost one of her dolls when I said I would buy her another one. Will post it here later as I'm not too sure if Jodie wants them seen for the first time in the newsletter or not.
That's about all for now.
Till next time happy scrapping.

I have been tagged again thanks Anthea
1. Which famous person would you most like to learn that you are descended from?
I'm going to have to think on that one for a while as there is really nobody that springs to mind at the moment although when I was little I used to dream of meeting Prince Charles don't ask me why?
2. Which famous person would you hate to learn that you are descended from?
Would have to agree with Anthea there Hitler
3. If you could be an ancestor to any living famous person, who would it be and why?
I probably would have to say Paul Mcarntey. I was brought up on his music as both my parents liked the beattles and hit has rubbed of on me too it would be nice to say I knew him when he was this high...
4. If you could go back in time and meet any known ancestor(s) of yours, who would it be?
It would have to be my Mum's grandparents. I've heard so many stories about them from my Nan and Mum.
OK I tag Michelle,Dana,Kristy and Adrienne. Have fun girls.

The third challenge.

Okay third time lucky I keep hitting the delete button.

The third challenge was a canvas one. Once again I used some of my stash from Scrappindipity, which included some canvas photo paper. I will be taking this and my Lil springer layout down to Bec and Lorrie durring the week once I've sorted out one of the hinges on the canvas book which is coming loose. The jouranling on the side of the canvas is hard to read in the photo so here it is.

Although the sound of the two of you trying to make music together can annoy me the sight of it is something I will always treasure.

Oh bother I hit the delete button yet again and the last image has gone. As I've got to sort out dinner I will leave this post as is. The back cover had another photo of Asher and Craig on it and said I hope you both will always enjoy your time making music. Love Mum.

That's it for now.
Till next time happy scrapping.

Cyber crop fun

Once again I was part of the fun at an Embellished cyber crop.
We had three challenges to do on the night. Challenge one was to do a page with Spring or Embellsihed in the title on a white background and include flower similar to the Embellished logo.
This is my page and I used some of my stash from my inspiration squad spot at Scrappindipity to do it with. At first I was having a hard time as I with it as I wanted to use a different photo. I kept on changing between this one and the one on my next layout and finally decided on this one. It was taken earlier on in the year when out shopping with Craig and Asher we seen one of those jumping set ups where you are attached to a big elastic rope and jump like crazy on big bouncy mats. I didn't think Asher would go through with it when she said she wanted a turn but she did. As Asher is so small the guy opperating it was making the elastic rope extra springy and she went so she went up higher and the highershe went the more she squealed. In delight.

This next one is my take on a Becky Fleck sketch which was our second challenge of the night and it had to be around a season. I ended up having to flip the sketch to suit the photo which was taken of Asher at Craig's X'mas wind up a few years back were we all went to a park that had a playground shaped like a pirate ship. I didn't really want to do a lot of journalling with this photo as I've used another one taken at the same time and journaled around that outting on my pirate fun page so I didn't want to repeat the journaling so to speak. Before starting this page I was checking out the gallery at Scrap boxx and came across a layout there done by Janine called Precious teddy. She used a quoteon her page by A A Milne and I loved it so much I knew that I knew I would use it somewhere as well. The quote reads "If there comes was a day when we are no longer together. Keep us in our hearts we'll stay there forever.
I'll be back with the third challenge. I accidently hit the delete button and removed one of my images.
Bother.

Just had to share a cute pic.

While I was snapping some pics of Asher playing with her trains last night she cralwed onto my lap and I snapped this pic. Just fell in love with her big blues all over again when I seen how this one turned out.

I finally finished my page for the designer diaries time challenge. It was a page I had fun doing but Craig wasn't too impressed about me wanting to take some pics as close to 1.24 pm as possible. The main one was taken at 1.25ish. I know some of the other pics I chose to use aren't perfect but I still wanted to use them so I worded my journaling around not being perfect.
I ended up at the doctors yesterday with a sore neck. I've got myself some whip lash from the accident on Saturday. I do hope that things get better with it as it is uncomfortable at the moment.
Thats about it for now. Till next time.

Photo swap layouts

I was involved in my first photo swap layout over at Embellished a while back and I enjoyed every minute of it. I did this Treasured moments layout for Lorrie and I totally love it. It was the first layout I had ever done so much doodling on.

This is the layout that Lorrie did for me in return. It is a photo of Asher taken at a friends weding and it just so happened that the pics of Lorrie and her little boy I used for her page where taken at a wedding too. I totally love this layout she did for me. I may even try and do some stamping on transperancies some day soon.

I took my car down to the repairers yesterday to get an idea of what the cost of getting my car fixed up after the accident. Some of what I thought were scratches are actually where the bumper has cracked the whole thing has to be replaced. Nearly $1000 to get it replaced and fix up where the bumper has pushed the tail gate in.
The lady that hit me has been speaking to her insurance company and as there is no apparent damage to her car she is not abliged to put in a claim. Not too sure just how it is all going to work out. Her insurance adviced her to get my repairer to put the claim in to her insurance company and that they will just take it from there. Sounds like it may get a bit rough as she can't believe she did that much damage with out none we could see to hers. I'm guessing she thinks that there was some damage there before hand but there wasn't. It had only been done about this time last year.
I got a couple of thanks but no thanks for a few layouts I subbed to the mags here but still haven't heard from the American one so I may still get lucky but then again I may just not hear anything at all.
Not too much scrapping going on here at the moment. I did a few simple cards for father's day and Mother in laws b'day. I'm working on a page for the time challenge over at designer diaries. I will get stuck into it again on Friday. I want to break out my sewing machine which has just been in for a service and using it at night after work is just not a great idea if I want Asher to stay asleep. There is another cyber crop over at Embellished Friday night I so can't wait. I've got to go out and get a canvas for one of the challenges.
Oh well thats about it for now.
Till next time I wish everyone well and happy scrapping.

Why me.
I can't believe it. Coming back from dancing this morning. Pulled up to a give way sign, looked nothing coming, went to go, looked again and noticed a car coming around the bend, stopped and I had a car run into the back of me. I've had my car now for about 16mths and I've had it into be be repaired from accidents that aren't my fault three times. I pulled over to check out the damage, lady pulled in behind me. Both of us couldn't see any major damage, just a few scratches on my bumper and none we seen to hers but we exchanged numbers anyway. I got home and told Craig he looked at the car and my bumper has been pushed back, buckling the right rear panel. So I rang the lady back to get her details and she wants to see the car again as she can't see how her car could come away with the little or no damage it did and my bumper be the way it is. She isn't even willing to claim responsibility till she sees it.

On the scrapping side of things not as much has been happening as I would like, not in the mood now.

I made these two cards on Monday night, one for Mum'sbirthday and the other for Scrappindipity. My doggy pets page came out in the page maps news letter today and I have finished a page that I have sent in for submission to a new US mag call that was posted on my get published thread over at sb.com. I was so wrapped to hear that they will accept international subs. I've not posted it into any of my galleries yet as they wanted to use layouts done with the theme I have used for the cover and to be on the cover they want not seen before pages. I may be able to post here in my blog but haven't heard back about that yet.

Well I had better get going as Asher needs a bath and her hair washed. Craig is out, so it is just me at the moment. Feeling pretty blah about the accident and my neck is starting to get sore and to top it all I've got two father's day cards to make.

Hopefully my next post I will have some good news to share.
